Hi everyone! I desperately need some help. I have 1/2 wall spindles on one stairway wall. They are the first thing you see when you come in my house. Normally I would just remove them but since this is a stairway wall, it is load bearing. Any ideas to update these? I have hated them since I first saw this house. I don't like the style, the color, pretty much everything about them. I don't want to close the whole wall off because my basement will be super dark & I can't afford a support beam...
